Dear Partners:
In our last letter, we said we would not be in
touch with you until we reached Manila. Well, that is only a few short days away
(one week from Monday), Lord willing.
But we have discovered something about our phone
and thought we should pass it on to you.
We have shared with you that our Kitchener number
(519-489-0317) will reach us in Manila, with you only have to pay for long
distance charges to Kitchener, if you have any at all.
And we would remind you that there is a 12 hour
time difference so no calls in the afternoon Eastern time, OK? :-)
What we discovered though is that if our computer
is not online, our phone is temporarily out of service. You will get a recording
saying that the number is not currently assigned. Don't panic or give up - it
just means we do not have our computer on.
Once we get to Manila and into our own home, we
will have our Vonage router up 24/7 and so there should be no problems barring
power failures. In the meantime, we will have our
computer up as much as possible when we get there.
BTW, we are also on Skype and you can find us there
at "ericgmcgrath" (without the quotes)! And we can even show you our faces!
Ugh!
One other thing, our son-in-law has set up our web
site (www.lively.ca)
so that we can dump pictures on there. Once we get there, we will start that
process, but if you go to the website, you will see a "Photos" down the left
hand side - just click it and select the appropriate folder.
Well enough for now on techie things - hope it
isn't too confusing. If it is, just drop us a note and we will try and help you
through them.

New Home Phone Number

PLEASE NOTE: Effective immediately, our new home phone number is: 519-489-0317.**
We have switched our phone service to Vonage. This will enable us to take this phone number with us to the Philippines when we go, providing you with the opportunity to keep in touch for the price of a call to Kitchener (or for nothing if you are a Vonage customer).
Normally the switch over allows you to keep your original phone number, but due to circumstances beyond our control, we have had to change our number.
Sorry for any inconvenience this has caused any who have been trying to phone us.

Call of Acceptance |
Hello everyone!
The call came this afternoon informing us that we have been accepted as members
of Wycliffe Bible Translators.This is indeed exciting news for us, bringing us
into a new phase of our lives.
We do not have all of the final details yet, but we will be in touch with you
shortly to let you know of our plans as they unfold.
We will also be sending out information, when it is in its final form, regarding
our prayer and financial support needs.
For now, please accept our deep appreciation for your prayer support to this
point, as we have sought the Lord's leading, and continue to do so.
